Academic and Professional Trajectory

Henaa holds an LL.M. from the University of Toronto’s Jackman Faculty of Law and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2023. She now leads her practice and serves on multiple boards.

Prior to Ontario, she advised the Government of India at the crossroads of law, policy, and business. A career spanning transactional law, investment banking, academia, and the non-profit sector enables her to respond to challenging legal problems with precision.

She earned her LL.B. at the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and began her career in capital markets law in Mumbai. She later completed an LL.M. in Business Law at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, receiving the Nani A. Palkhivala Gold Medal.

Passion for Education

Beyond her legal practice, Henaa established HLS Educational Services, which focuses on teaching and mentoring hundreds of aspiring lawyers preparing for the NCA examinations and Ontario Bar exams (Solicitor and Barrister). The programme includes more than 500 hours of recorded instruction and serves foreign lawyers from over 35 countries across six continents.

HLS began as an English and French language school for underprivileged learners and continues to be one of her most satisfying achievements.

She understands what it means to start over in a new country and knows the rigour, empathy and plain-language advice needed to manage the complexities of legal situations.
